Nottingham Forest are starting to try and crank up their recruitment drive with several players leaving already this summer.
Anthony Elanga has joined Newcastle, with his departure currently considered the highest profile exit from Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Danilo has headed back to Brazil to sign for Botafogo, whilst Andrew Omobamidele has joined Strasbourg in a permanent deal after his impressive loan spell.
Morgan Gibbs-White could also join Tottenham in the coming days to leave the Forest squad looking considerably weaker ahead of next season.
Some signings are being lined up by Forest, however, and the hope will be that something can happen pretty quickly when it comes to new recruits.

Nottingham Forest in straight fight with Juventus for Jadon Sancho
It emerged last week that Forest were plotting an intriguing swoop to hand Jadon Sancho a Premier League lifeline this summer.
Sancho helped Chelsea qualify for the Champions League by beating Forest on the last day of 2024/25, and he also scored in the UEFA Conference League final.
According to The Sun, Forest and Juventus are now the only two clubs that have come forward for Sancho, with the England player keen to address his future.
Sancho is willing to cut his £250,000-a-week wage at Manchester United in half to secure a move, whilst the Red Devils stand to recoup about £20 million of the £73 million which they paid to sign the player from Dortmund.
Ian Wright hailed Sancho as ‘amazing’ after some strong form for Chelsea, where he spent last season on loan, scoring five goals and claiming 10 assists during 41 appearances.
Forest can repeat Callum Hudson-Odoi trick by signing Sancho
There would naturally be some reservations about signing Sancho, given that he has dropped off a little bit when it comes to the potential that he initially showed at Dortmund.
However, the same could be said about Hudson-Odoi when he signed for Forest, yet he’s knuckled down and managed to revive his career at the City Ground.
Hudson-Odoi cost Forest £3 million and in the modern era of inflated prices and overpaid players, that represented a real steal when Steve Cooper managed to pull the deal off.
Sancho could have the same impact at Forest as Hudson-Odoi, given that he’d get the chance to play every single week and would all of a sudden become one of the main men.
With Juventus pushing for a deal too, it certainly won’t be an easy one to complete but Forest and Sancho might actually prove to be extremely good for each other should a deal be struck this summer.
