Evangelos Marinakis has the best interests of Nottingham Forest firmly at heart.

The Forest owner has worked wonders since he came to the football club and although he has some imperfections, nobody can knock the backing that he’s given Forest.

Marinakis was behind the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo and it’s clearly paid dividends as Forest qualified for the UEFA Conference League last season.

Forest are currently in the market for some new players and today there has been some news that might just help Forest keep pursuing one of the club’s top targets.

Nottingham Forest handed possible Dan Ndoye boost

There have been some more developments today from Companies House, with Marinakis once again pledging his loyalty to Forest.

It’s been claimed that Marinakis has once again converted £17 million worth of debt into shares, which will once again help the club’s coffers.

This could give the Reds a little bit more wriggle room in the transfer market, although Anthony Elanga leaving for Newcastle will have helped that too.

Forest will hope to see some movement on the transfer front very soon and hopefully, the squad will look vastly improved when the season gets underway.

Forest need to press ahead for Ndoye

Ndoye has already said yes to Forest and the hope now will be that the Reds can offer Bologna a sum of money that they’re happy with.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals and claimed six assists last season and has also been courted by Napoli during the current transfer window.

This extra cash into the coffers might help Forest push the boundaries to bring Ndoye to the City Ground and hopefully, there will be some movement this week.

Once again Marinakis has showcased what a savvy businessman he is and now he will almost certainly be stepping up his efforts to sign more players.
