Morgan Gibbs-White has ended speculation over his future by signing a new three-year contract to remain at the City Ground.
Tottenham were desperate to land Gibbs-White, but ultimately, he’s decided to turn his back on the capital and remain on Trentside.
Forest have sold Anthony Elanga this summer and it does feel as though that will be the only big departure from the club during this window.
Gibbs-White has signed a deal to become one of Forest’s top-paid players and will now remain on Trentside until 2028, with a release clause not thought to be included in the deal.

What Nuno Espirito Santo did to convince Morgan Gibbs-White to stay at Forest
Nottingham Forest News have exclusively been told by Graeme Bailey that Nuno Espirito Santo got involved with the whole Gibbs-White saga.
Marinakis was keen to get things sorted with Gibbs-White from the moment Tottenham’s interest became clear and the negotiations have been pleasant from the start.
Bailey exclusively told us: “Evangelos Marinakis made clear to Morgan Gibbs-White that he was not angry with him, he understood the situation and he heaped the blame on Tottenham throughout the process.
“Marinakis, whilst confident, was never sure he would persuade him to sign but with Nuno also talking to the player they have convinced him.
“This is a huge deal for Forest and sources tell me that this is by far their biggest deal of the summer, and literally their biggest contract ever – they see Gibbs-White signing a real statement of intent.”
It’s telling that Espirito Santo got involved and highlights just how fond of Gibbs-White he is as he prepares to take Forest into Europe next season.
Forest make strides with Dan Ndoye
Gibbs-White understands that Forest owner Marinakis wants to progress to the next level and ultimately, that means that new players will need to be added.
Fabrizio Romano delivered a positive update on Forest’s pursuit of Ndoye over the weekend and hopefully, there are some legs in that deal.
The winger has explosive pace and might make a suitable replacement for Elanga, with the Swiss performer scoring nine goals and claiming six assists for Bologna last season.
New signings will be paramount for Forest to kick on to the next level next season and with Gibbs-White now sticking around, perhaps new recruits will become easier to attract.
