Nottingham Forest are still shopping for some more new players before the season gets underway in under a fortnight.

Nuno Espirito Santo wants at least four new players at Forest and the window has proved slow in the way of incoming deals during the summer window.

Dan Ndoye signed for Forest last week and got his first run out in the Garibaldi during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Birmingham City.

Ndoye is a replacement for Anthony Elanga, who opted to sign for Newcastle in July to leave Forest desperately short of options out wide.

Espirito Santo is now hoping to move somewhat quicker to get more depth into the squad and hopefully, things can fall into place before the campaign gets started.

Nottingham Forest agree deal for Baris Alper Yilmaz

Forest have been courting Yilmaz for months and it finally looks as though there are some reasons to be cheerful when it comes to landing the Turkish performer.

According to Turkish reports, Yilmaz has been the subject of a £32 million bid from Forest, with the Reds happy to pay a further £3 million in the way of add-ons to sign the player.

Galatasaray were keen to get a flat £37 million for their star player but it’s believed that the transfer is now close to being finalised.

Forest do want another winger this month, to compete with Ndoye and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the final third from a Forest perspective.

Jota Silva looks to be joining Sporting CP, whilst Ramon Sosa has already started producing the goods for Palmeiras after his move earlier in the window.

Yilmaz would be quality addition to Forest ranks

Last season, Yilmaz scored 14 goals and claimed six assists from 48 outings in all conditions, highlighting that he’s often fit and usually a very reliable performer.

Forest want the winger who also collected 11 yellow cards, with Yilmaz always giving his all and wearing his heart firmly on his sleeve when he goes out on to the pitch.

Yilmaz would firmly boost the squad options and although he won’t come cheap, he would certainly act as a replacement for Hudson-Odoi should he choose to leave in the next 12 months.

Forest will be fighting in four competitions and having Yilmaz to call upon as an option would be most useful for Espirito Santo this season.
