Nottingham Forest are exploring a deal to sign Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson this summer transfer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo is still in the market for a winger after completing the £37m signing of Bologna winger Dan Ndoye.

Forest have looked at Adama Traore at Fulham, and the jet-heeled Spaniard is keen on reuniting with his former boss.

But, it seems Forest have turned their attention towards Omari Hutchinson, having had a £35m bid rejected by the Championship outfit.

Fans have been reacting to the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, and they have a strong message for Evangelos Marinakis.

Nottingham Forest fans urge Evangelos Marinakis to move on from Omari Hutchinson

Forest fans have been pretty vocal in their message to Marinakis after seeing a £35m bid rejected for Hutchinson.

“Please move on. £35m is already overpaying; I’d rather McAtee for that money. Not sure Hutchinson improves us,” @ImJamieMartin posted.

@J_BParker insisted: “For £35-40m there are better options than Hutchinson.”

“I’d really like to think we can do better for 35 million than Omari Hutchinson,” @RunswickRed admitted.

@DNOnMAZ9 commented: “Seems high to me. Good player, but this would put him on par with Ndoye’s transfer fee basically, which tells you this is too high. Get Traore in! Tell Ipswich we going no higher, and look at other targets, I think that is pure greed!

“I’m not sure who’s madder: #NFFC for offering that much for a lightweight Championship player with inconsistent end product…or Ipswich for rejecting it. First going for McAtee, now Hutchinson… We seem determined to pay massively over the odds for someone,” @ForestNews_Info said.

Nottingham Forest already looking at Omari Hutchinson alternatives

Forest do appear to have moved on from Hutchinson, at least for now, as they’re showing an interest in RC Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa.

Forest have earmarked Bakwa after his productive season in Ligue 1, netting six goals whilst laying on nine assists.

In fact, reports are now emerging that they’ve had a £26m bid turned down by the French outfit, who want at least £30m.

So, Forest aren’t too far away from Strasbourg’s valuation, and it does seem a deal can be done.
