Stuart Pearce is nothing short of a legend when it comes to Nottingham Forest Football Club.
Pearce served the club with distinction for a number of years as a player, turning out for England and helped Forest reach cup finals and win them in the late eighties and early nineties.

The legendary figure became the manager in 2014 and although his tenure in the City Ground hotseat was short, his reputation remains intact on Trentside.
This week, Forest signed Angus Gunn and it offered a funny nod towards a game between Forest and Norwich in the early nineties when Pearce came up against his dad Bryan.

Bryan Gunn famously had a go at Stuart Pearce
Gunn was a quality goalkeeper back in his day and in the programme for Pearce’s testimonial, he recited a very infamous meeting with the left-back.
Whilst playing for Norwich, Gunn was carried off following a 50-50 with Pearce that saw the Canaries stopper require medical attention.
Speaking of the England star, he said: “It’s alright Pearcey, I thought you were going to tackle me so I broke my leg instead!”
Gunn actually dislocated his ankle in the incident involving Pearce and missed a large number of months with Norwich, relegated after winning just two more matches.
Gunn might play the cup games at Forest this season
The 29-year-old Scotland star might not be ousting Matz Sels on a regular basis any time soon, but he should get games with Forest fighting on four fronts next season.
Gunn has emulated his dad by playing in the Premier League and now he will hope for happier City Ground memories than his old man.
Forest needed a goalkeeper and Gunn will help to meet the homegrown criteria for European competition, as well as bringing experience to the ranks.
Thankfully for Gunn, he won’t have to come up against Pearce any time soon and hopefully he can enjoy a solid 12 months at the City Ground.
