Nottingham Forest are starting to get busy when it comes to signing players ahead of the new Premier League season.

Forest are close to signing Dan Ndoye from Bologna and he will almost certainly be viewed as the replacement for Anthony Elanga.

Elanga signed for Newcastle earlier this month and it’s been pretty slow going since then when it comes to signing players.

In the last 24 hours, however, things have started to pick up, with Forest having a first bid rejected for James McAtee.

Nuno Espirito Santo will want a number of new recruits before the season gets underway and it does feel as though things are starting to crank up a little bit now.

Nottingham Forest want Veljko Milosavljevic

The central defender is currently wanted by a host of clubs this summer, but according to Espreso, things are now heating up for Forest.

Everton, Bournemouth and Celtic have all been interested in the past, with the Crvena Zvezda player almost certain to leave if a bid of £13 million is made this summer.

The 18-year-old is an extremely talented performer and has already played 22 games for the senior ranks at his current club.

Right now, Milosavljevic is helping Crvena Zvezda qualify for the Champions League, but it does feel as though a departure will take place this summer.

Forest right to look towards the future

Although Forest still need a number of players to finalise the squad this season, that doesn’t mean the club shouldn’t still look towards landing the very best future talents.

The young Serbian defender could learn from Nikola Milenkovic if he’s kept around at the City Ground and £13 million would hardly break the bank.

It will be interesting to see if Forest can win this particular race and if they do, it will be fascinating to see what happens with the defensive department, with a number of defenders already in place..
