Nottingham Forest are stepping up their recruitment drive ahead of the new campaign, with a replacement for Anthony Elanga seemingly on the horizon.
Forest sold Elanga to Newcastle earlier this month and fans have been getting a little bit tetchy when it comes to the lack of transfer activity at the club.
Morgan Gibbs-White agreed to stay at Forest for another three years over the weekend, signing a new contract and ignoring the advances from Tottenham, who were desperate to sign him.
It’s been the wide areas that have been decimated the most, with Ramon Sosa also departing the club and it would appear that some new arrivals are now close at Forest.

Nottingham Forest in advanced talks to sign Dan Ndoye
It was claimed yesterday that Ndoye negotiations were being led by Evangelos Marinakis and clearly that’s paid dividends, with Forest now progressing to sign the winger.
Ndoye scored nine goals and claimed six assists last season as Bologna won the Coppa Italia and qualified for the Europa League.
John Percy of The Telegraph has now claimed that Forest are in advanced negotiations to sign Ndoye, with things nearing a conclusion.
Forest are now hoping to agree a fee with Bologna, with the latest reports suggesting that things are progressing between all parties.
Ndoye has already said yes to Forest and from here, this could be a relatively easy deal to conclude as the Reds look to replace Elanga.
Marinakis is a very persuasive man
The winger has been the number one target of Forest since Elanga departed for Newcastle and now things look to be getting close.
Marinakis has started negotiations with Bologna to try and smooth the deal over the line and other players are set to arrive at the club too.
Ndoye looks like a plug-and-play option to replace Elanga and his experience of playing in a top European league should put him in good standing.
It’s great that this one is now moving fast and Forest will exceed their club-record signing if the deal goes through as now expected.
