Nottingham Forest fans are riding the high of finalising a move for James McAtee, with a further boost on another midfield signing making the news even sweeter.
Forest have agreed to sign McAtee from Manchester City in a deal set to be worth a potential £30m, but the inclusion of a buy-back clause will be one that has frustrated Evangelos Marinakis.
Regardless, though, McAtee is a highly gifted player who can operate in multiple roles for the Reds, with McAtee potentially starring as a number eight to complement Morgan Gibbs-White further forward.
However, according to reports also breaking on Thursday evening, McAtee may well be joined by another exceptional talent in midfield.

Douglas Luiz update shared amid James McAtee excitement
Fans will know all about Forest’s interest in Douglas Luiz, given that the Brazilian has been repeatedly linked with a move to the City Ground across two transfer windows.
It seemed as if the trail had gone cold, though, with Juventus needing a replacement for Luiz before they’d be willing to sanction his exit.
According to Sky Sports, though, Forest are now in talks with Juventus once more for Luiz’s signature, amid reports that two Premier League clubs have submitted bids for the former Aston Villa man.
What’s more, Juventus’ stance on Luiz may well be about to be softened as the Italian giants edge closer to a surprise deal for a Premier League midfielder.
Juventus may have found their Douglas Luiz replacement
The Italian media had suggested that Juventus wanted to use Luiz to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, but with that deal looking unlikely from the off, they have changed course to target another option.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Turin side have been in talks with Brighton over a deal for Matt O’Riley, who only joined the Seagulls last summer.
However, for that deal to proceed, Juventus must first cash in on Luiz, strengthening Forest’s position as the summer-long saga surrounding the Brazilian looks to finally be coming to a close.
