Nottingham Forest are pushing ahead with a remarkable triple signing ahead of the opening weekend of the Premier League season, providing a significant boost to Nuno Espírito Santo.
Espírito Santo is worried about his Forest squad ahead of the Brentford clash after what has been a slightly concerning pre-season, with only one goal scored in seven games.
However, after Forest were confirmed to be in the Europa League for the upcoming season, Evangelos Marinakis has looked to inject life into the club’s transfer plans.
The Forest squad is set to be boosted by the arrival of three key attacking talents, with Fabrizio Romano providing an update on the fast-moving transfer news.

Fabrizio Romano latest on Nottingham Forest transfer swoop
On Thursday evening, what started with Forest agreeing a deal to sign James McAtee turned into something truly incredible, with Omari Hutchinson and Arnaud Kalimuendo also close to arriving at the City Ground.
Perhaps not in time to feature on Sunday, all three seem to be on their way to Nottingham to finalise their moves, with Romano providing an update on Forest’s progress.
Romano confirmed that the McAtee deal is completed, with Hutchinson looking the next closest as he travels from Ipswich for his medical.
The Kalimuendo deal was described as “very close”, with the deal naturally taking a little longer, seeing as he’s arriving from France rather than already being in England.
In terms of quality, all three provide exactly what Forest need to compete in Europe and the Premier League, but Kalimuendo may end up being the most important addition.
Arnaud Kalimuendo could be Nottingham Forest’s star signing
Given that Nuno is considering playing with two strikers this season, an extra option was always going to be needed. However, Kalimuendo has all the attributes to become the first name on the teamsheet.
| Statistic | Arnaud Kalimuendo 24/25 |
| Goals | 18 |
| Pass accuracy | 78.8% |
| Progressive carries per 90 | 1.75 |
| Progressive passes per 90 | 2.51 |
As well as goals, what immediately stands out about Kalimuendo is his creative ability, boasting a 78.8% pass accuracy compared with Chris Wood’s 64.9% from last season.
He can also progress the ball with both his passing and his dribbling, attributes that will come in handy, especially if he is paired with another striker up front.
On paper, then, Kalimuendo may be about to become Forest’s top striking option, surely set to shine with the backing of fellow new signings Hutchinson and McAtee.
