Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed the signing of English attacker Omari Hutchinson, who has given his first interview since joining the club.
Hutchinson signed for Forest after a lengthy summer pursuit, which began after Anthony Elanga’s transfer to Newcastle United.
However, it seemed as if the Reds had moved on to other targets, signing Dan Ndoye and agreeing a deal for James McAtee to join Forest imminently.
Clearly, though, Hutchinson was a priority throughout and after being announced in the Garibaldi red, the 21-year-old spoke to the club media team about the transfer.

Forest had a £35m bid rejected for Hutchinson but eventually made the breakthrough with Ipswich, who looked to have little hope of keeping the Englishman after their relegation to the Championship.
Speaking about the move, Hutchinson told Forest’s website: “I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’ve played at the City Ground a few times and it’s always felt like a hostile atmosphere, so I’m looking forward to playing here with the fans behind us.
“I’m going to give it my all and I’m looking forward to the challenge as it’s a new chapter for me, but I feel ready.”
The City Ground atmosphere has already impressed him, then, adding in a social media post: “Can’t wait to see you guys at the City Ground. Let’s get it rockingggg.”
It seems that the buzz of being the new face at the club won’t last long for Hutchinson, though, as he’s about to be followed through the door by further additions.

As previously mentioned, McAtee should also be announced soon enough as a Forest player, linking up as they have done for the England U21s team so well.
The pair look set to have a new striker to create for, too, with Arnaud Kalimuendo just a step behind Hutchinson in terms of becoming a Red.
David Ornstein confirmed that the French star is completing his medical in London before being officially confirmed by the club, after Forest agreed a £27m fee with Rennes for Kalimuendo.
They won’t be able to feature on Sunday, but Reds fans will be counting down the days before they get to see their exciting new attacking talents in action.
