Nottingham Forest were electric in their 3-1 Premier League win against Brentford, leading to Reds fans sending a clear message to England boss Thomas Tuchel about one particular star.
Forest won their Premier League opener against Brentford in what was a brilliant display by Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad, dominating throughout to show that they can replicate last season’s form.
Two goals for Chris Wood and a debut goal for Dan Ndoye showed that the Reds have plenty of goalscoring potential even before new signings arrive, while the defence looked strong too, even without the clean sheet.
However, one man stole the show in the eyes of the City Ground faithful, with fans taking to social media to react to his incredible performance.

Nottingham Forest fans react to Elliot Anderson’s performance

Elliot Anderson’s ‘special’ performance in numbers
Anderson and Sangare were beginning to form a strong partnership at the end of last season, and along with the link-up play with Gibbs-White, they look to be Forest’s best midfield options.
| Statistic | Elliot Anderson vs Brentford |
| Assists | 1 |
| Passes into the final third | 12 |
| Distance covered | 11.6 km |
| Shots on target | 1 |
| Duels won | 4 |
The Englishman covered the most distance in the game at 11.6 km, but his performance wasn’t just about energy, with the finesse of a midfielder beyond his years on display.
12 passes into the final third highlighted his importance in the build-up play, even having a shot on target of his own as he attempts to add more goals to his game, too.
Performances like that are the exact type that Anderson will need to get into Tuchel’s England squad, as when he’s at his best, there aren’t many in the country that can compete.
