Nottingham Forest simply love a transfer saga when it comes to the summer window.
Last summer, Forest were rejected by Santiago Gimenez on three occasions and ended up without the striker signing that was so desperately sought.
Eddie Nketiah also rejected Forest after a chat with Oliver Glasner and it ended up being a frustrating summer 12 months ago.
With Europa League football on the table this time around, however, things are most definitely looking up.
Forest have added Omari Hutchinson, James McAtee and Arnaud Kalimeundo to the ranks recently, with Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha, Dan Ndoye and Angus Gunn all checking in before a ball was kicked.
Now, another new recruit is set to sign and it will bring an end to an extremely long-running saga for Forest.

Nottingham Forest set to sign Douglas Luiz
According to Alex Crook, Forest will pay just £25 million to bring Douglas Luiz to the City Ground and that represents a remarkable coup.
Fabrizio Romano believes that a deal is now very close and Luiz could even be in place by the time Forest play Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Luiz signed for Juventus for £43 million last summer after Aston Villa were forced into a sale to comply with PSR.
Just 27 appearances later, however, and Luiz is going to be departing the Turin-based outfit and Forest look to have got their man eventually.
Luiz will bolster the midfield ranks, with Edu trying to sign Luiz when he was in place at Arsenal.
Luiz can star at Forest
Ibrahim Sangare and Elliot Anderson were both outstanding on Sunday, but more options are required.
Ryan Yates is somewhat limited, Nicolas Dominguez is injured, and with four competitions on the horizon, the Reds want to make sure that the squad is improved.
Already, the strength in depth looks to be improved, and Edu has completed a masterstroke in landing Luiz for £25 million.
Naturally, a series of add-ons will be included in the deal, but once again it looks as though Forest have come up trumps – despite another summer transfer saga.
