Nottingham Forest might soon be on the lookout for a new manager.
Yes, you did read that right. Despite eight new signings and a 3-1 win over Brentford on the opening week of the season, Nuno Espirito Santo has vented his frustration at the Forest owner.
Just hours after Forest signed Douglas Luiz, it was claimed by Espirito Santo that his relationship with Marinakis had changed amid some unrest over the club’s transfer policy.
Now, on the same day, completely coincidentally, a manager admired by Marinakis has also taken a swipe at the club that he works for.

Marco Silva vents frustration at Fulham
When Forest sacked Steve Cooper, it was claimed that Marinakis was a big fan of Silva and might consider prising him away from Fulham.
However, the Cottagers were performing much better than Forest at that point, and a move would have been a bit of a non-starter.
Now, that might be different, however, with Forest in the Europa League and Silva taking aim at the board at Craven Cottage after a summer of no transfer activity.
He said in his press conference: “At this stage of last season, we had 2-3 players in. This season, we had a plan, the plan has fallen through. It’s our fault, not active at all. We cannot be pleased.
“The plan has been there for many months. We agreed on our direction. Now is the moment to take the best decisions we can.
“We have 10 days, in May, we had almost three months. We’re still working to correct things that we haven’t done in the last three months.”
Silva would surely jump at Forest opportunity
The Portuguese manager has done brilliantly well at Fulham, but with a lack of transfer activity, perhaps his race is run at the Cottagers.
Most managers would feel blessed to have a squad at their disposal like the one that Forest have at the moment and that includes Silva.
Hopefully, a truce can be called between Espirito Santo and Marinakis and the boss can continue his good work but it does feel as though the fat lady is starting to clear her throat.
Silva would be a viable replacement for Espirito Santo and if push does come to shove and a new head coach is on the radar, the Fulham boss’ experience in the Premier League would make him a worthwhile appointment.
