Nottingham Forest have been thrown into a crisis of sorts just days before a big Premier League game with Crystal Palace.
Chris Wood scored twice and Dan Ndoye bagged on his debut for the club in last weekend’s 3-1 win over Brentford, but it seems that all isn’t well.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has dug deep this week to add four new players to the squad, with Omari Hutchinson, James McAtee, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Douglas Luiz all being added to the ranks.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo still isn’t happy and has taken a swipe at the club’s owner during the pre-Crystal Palace press conference.

Alex Crook shares why Nuno and Marinakis have fallen out
It’s not going to come as a major shock that a manager is always wanting more when it comes to players and that’s what Espirito Santo demanded last week.
Despite being backed, the Portuguese head coach has come out and publicly said that the relationship between himself and Marinakis is not what it once was.
Now, Alex Crook of TalkSport said on X: “NFFC sources have dismissed reports Marinakis considered changing manager but these comments from Nuno only fan the flames. Told there have been issues behind the scenes regarding transfers this summer not unusual at Forest tbf.”
Espirito Santo now given the tools for a great season
It’s hard to fathom that Espirito Santo would have concerns over transfers during a summer which has quite frankly been absolutely perfect to this point.
Luiz signed terms at Forest from Juventus to probably ensure at least a 9/10 transfer window, even before more players are added, with full-backs and a goalkeeper now wanted.
Espirito Santo now has the tools to ensure that Forest can compete on all fronts this season, with Marinakis showing supreme ambition for the football club.
Hopefully, things can be smoothed over between the owner and the head coach and none of this becomes a distraction for the players as they look to get another one over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
