Nottingham Forest have managed to extend the contract of Callum Hudson-Odoi by two years as the speculation ends over his future.

Ola Aina interviewed Hudson-Odoi after he penned a new deal, with the defender delighted to see his friend and teammate remain at the City Ground.

Forest signed Hudson-Odoi for just £3 million in the summer of 2023 and he’s not only revived his own career but also taken the Reds to another level.

Hudson-Odoi bagged his first goal of the season in last week’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, and now he’s received the plaudits from his teammates.

Arnaud Kalimuendo and Dan Ndoye react to Nottingham Forest announcement

The new players are clearly big fans of Hudson-Odoi and perhaps there is an element of the winger helping them to settle in.

Kalimuendo posted on Hudson-Odoi’s Instagram: “Congrats Bro”, with the hallelujah emoji alongside is and the word, ‘Dimanche’, which translates to Sunday.

Ndoye also posted a wordless message to Hudson-Odoi, which featured a flame emoji and a heart being made out of two hands.

Hudson-Odoi has registered 20 goal contributions from 72 matches at Forest and some of his performances have helped the Reds qualify for the Europa League this season.

Mario Melchiot sends message to Hudson-Odoi

Melchiot is a bit of a hero at Chelsea, and he’s also sent Hudson-Odoi a message of congratulations after he penned a new deal with Forest.

His message simply said, ‘Congrats’ and featured a hallelujah emoji, and he also gave him an electronic round of applause.

Hudson-Odoi was rather brave to leave Chelsea having been at the club since he was a child and he’s definitely been rewarded for making the leap of faith.

Now, the winger will hope to lead Forest to more glory days as the Reds bid to make waves at home and on the continent this season.
