Nottingham Forest have been making moves on transfer deadline day and there was one final deal before the window slammed shut.
The Reds have history with deadline day deals, and the 2025 window hasn’t disappointed.
Forest lost 3-0 to West Ham on Sunday as the pressure piled on Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of his talks with Evangelos Marinakis.
Now, the Forest head coach has been handed another player for his squad in the shape of a player who has been linked with the club for a long time.

Nottingham Forest sign Dilane Bakwa
According to the club’s official website, Forest have now officially announced the signing of Bakwa on a long-term contract until 2030
Bakwa has been linked with Forest for a little while and the Reds have now won the race to sign the player who completes the summer window.
The talented player helped Strasbourg qualify for Europe last season, scoring six goals and claiming nine assists in all competitions.
Bakwa has started well this term too, claiming three assists already and Strasbourg rating him highly enough to demand around £35 million for his services, which is close to what Forest have paid for his services.
Bakwa could be the best signing of the bunch
The tricky winger is physical and brings something far different to anything else that the Reds have currently available out wide.
Bakwa has ultimately signed for the club with hours left of the deadline and this could be a truly memorable deal if he’s given a chance to shine.
The 23-year-old has buckets of potential and it’s great that Forest have persisted with this one for a number of weeks of the transfer window.
Bakwa now has two weeks to settle with his new teammates and he will hope to get himself a regular starting spot as a matter of urgency.
