Ivory Coast fans give damning verdict on Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare during international break

Ibrahim Sangare’s start to the season can only be described as mixed.

The Ivorian started well, with Forest fans praising Sangare for his performance against Brentford.

But the midfielder’s quick start fell away as quickly as it began. As Nottingham Forest slumped to a 3-0 defeat, Sangare was one of the worst performers against the Hammers.

It now seems that the midfielder has taken that display against Graham Potter’s side and brought it with him into the international break.

Ivory Coast fans took to social media to talk about the player, and it is not looking good for Sangare.

Ivory Coast fans not happy with Ibrahim Sangare’s performance

Ivory Coast supporters were far from impressed with Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangare in their 1-0 win over Burundi.

One fan commented on the performance by saying, ‘Ibrahim Sangaré isn’t that great, huh?’

Meanwhile another questioned why he was not subbed off during the match saying, ‘Why is Sangaré still in the game?’

Another supporter joined in on questioning why the Forest midfielder was still in the game stating, ‘The dreadful Sangare is still on the field.’

With someone else suggesting he has been poor for Ivory Coast since making the move to England, saying ‘Ibrahim Sangaré, since he signed with Nottingham, has been very poor.’

Ibrahim Sangare has started all of Nottingham Forest’s games this season so far, and if he continues on the form he is in, there will be plenty of players breathing down his neck for that spot.

He has given away two penalties in just three games, with the latest being the killer blow against West Ham.

The midfielder will be lucky to keep his current role in Nuno Espirito Santo’s set-up.

Douglas Luiz will be keeping a close eye on Ibrahim Sangare

If Sangare continues playing like he is, Douglas Luiz could be the first name to come in and replace him.

The Brazilian has yet to feature for the Tricky Trees after being an unused sub against both Crystal Palace and West Ham.

The signing of Douglas Luiz was praised, and there is no doubt about the quality he possesses. He already knows what playing in England entails, and he likely just needs to learn Nuno’s philosophy and style.

At the rate that Sangare is playing, it might not be long until the former Juventus man makes his first start for the club.
