Nottingham Forest have today parted company with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Reds ended his stay at the City Ground just shy of two years from his appointment after a breakdown in the relationship with Evangelos Marinakis.
Forest have now appointed Ange Postecoglou to replace Espirito Santo, with the Reds moving fast ahead of Saturday’s game with Arsenal.
Ally McCoist claimed that the Forest dressing room would be gutted and now one player who improved under Espirito Santo at the City Ground has broken the squad’s silence.

Williams was given a role at left-back under Espirito Santo and has done it with aplomb.
The defender has been in fine form at the City Ground, and he will now look to keep his place in the team under Postecoglou.
Clearly, he’s got a lot of time and respect for the departed manager and wishes him well as he exited the club.
He posted on X: “Thank you, boss. You gave me the opportunity to grow and learn by wearing the shirt. Had some amazing memories playing under you and wish you nothing but the best in the future.”
Williams faces fight for his place under Ange Postecoglou
Every player will get a clean slate under the new manager, and Williams might have a fight on his hands to get into the team.
Williams isn’t naturally left-footed, and if Postecoglou wants Forest playing front-foot football, he might go with the natural option in Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back.
That said, Williams is a very talented player and if he can impress Postecoglou in training then perhaps he will get the chance to keep producing positive performances in the short term.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what sort of team Postecoglou picks and how things pan out for Forest from here.
