Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou had his first interview with the club since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.

Postecoglou was asked about his style of play and was keen to rubbish claims that he can only play in one way.

The Nottingham Forest manager also explained how ambitious he is and sensed around the club that everyone wants more ahead of a Europa League campaign.

Forest supporters have reacted to his first interview on X, formerly known as Twitter, and they’re all saying similar things.

Nottingham Forest fans react to Ange Postecoglou’s first interview

It’s fair to say, Nottingham Forest fans were really impressed with Postecoglou’s interview as they flocked to X to react.

“Great interview. Really am excited and looking forward to see what we are gonna do under Ange he speaks so well and he seems very confident and knowledgeable, love him already tbh. Get off to some good results in the next 4 away games, hopefully, won’t be easy but COYR,” @NFFC_Callum posted.

@CallumCastel7 added: “Feel good after watching Ange’s interview. You expect to hear a lot of positive words in the first interview, but he just comes across as honest. He always has, which hasn’t always been a good thing, but this is a fresh start for him and he looks refreshed. Onto Saturday”

@joel_francis363 commented: “That interview is class from Ange, proper manager with ambition. Class man, genuinely can’t wait.”

“Oozes charisma, has a calming aura about him and think he’s gonna be a great success. Buckle up,” @forestmad80 explained.

Ange Postecoglou senses Nottingham Forest want more

Interestingly, Postecoglou explained in his interview that when he arrived at the training ground, he could immediately sense the ambition in the group and staff.

“When you look at what the Club has achieved in recent times, it’s an outstanding feat to be where we are right now.

“Other clubs that have won promotion have struggled to stay in the league, but in a short space of time we’re back in Europe and competing for honours, which is a great credit to everyone involved.

“I get a sense that the Club wants more and that’s certainly what I want, so I think it’s a really exciting time.

“I understand the history of this football club and I understand there’s a responsibility there, and I’ll bear that responsibility. I’m honoured and I’m humbled, but more importantly I’m determined to make sure this football club takes its rightful place.”

Evanegelos Marinakis has been very clear that he wants to win silverware, so there could be some exciting memories on the horizon for Forest supporters.
