When Ange Postecoglou travels to Turf Moor, Forest will be looking to do something for the first time against Scott Parker’s side.

Before the game, Scott Parker admitted the managerial change made it hard to prepare against Postecoglou’s style.

The Australian is still searching for his first win as Forest head coach after a shock exit to Swansea City in the Carabao Cup.

And now Chris Sutton has provided his verdict on if that will happen this weekend.

Chris Sutton predicts score in Burnley vs Nottingham Forest

Chris Sutton believes Ange Postecoglou will get his first win as Nottingham Forest head coach when they travel to face Burnley.

The former Premier League striker believes Postecoglou will pick up a 1-0 victory over Scott Parker.

Speaking on the BBC, Sutton said, “We know the Clarets were excellent defensively in the Championship last season, and they have shown they are resolute in the Premier League too, but the question is whether they are going to carry a big enough attacking threat?

“That’s why I fancy Forest here.”

Chris Sutton has been a big fan of Ange Postecoglou ever since the Australian was managing Celtic.

And after defeat to Swansea City, the 60-year-old faced a lot of criticism for the loss, with Sutton also defending him.

Chris Sutton does not understand ‘idiotic’ Ange Postecoglou criticism

Chris Sutton believes Ange Postecoglou gets an unfair amount of criticism after each loss the head coach receives.

Sutton said, “Whenever his team loses, whoever it is, it seems to be greeted with more glee than when most other managers lose, which is such an idiotic view.

“His Nottingham Forest side were 2-0 up and cruising in the Carabao Cup in midweek but then missed a few chances, let Swansea back in the game and ended up going out to an unbelievable 97th-minute goal.”

Gabby Agbonlahor said the blame did not lie with Ange, agreeing with the sentiment that Sutton put forward.

However, Postecoglou has said his job at Nottingham Forest is not a “project” but one that is built to win now, so pressure will certainly be on the Australian this season.
