Jamie O’Hara makes outrageous Ange Postecoglou claim after Nottingham Forest draw

Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw by a dogged Burnley outfit who seem hellbent on not going down without a fight this time around.

Ange Postecoglou awaits his first win as the Forest head coach, and after another winless game, the pressure has been cranked up a notch.

Forest fans spotted a problem with Postecoglou’s system against Burnley, with the result ending a tough week for the Reds, who were thrashed by Arsenal and lost to Swansea after holding a two-goal lead.

Forest need to get back on track with Real Betis to come in the Europa League curtain-raiser on Wednesday and Sunderland to visit the City Ground next Saturday.

Jamie O’Hara makes an astonishing Ange Postecoglou claim

As a Tottenham fan, O’Hara clearly can’t have anything nice to say about Postecoglou, despite the fact he led his club to a first major trophy for many years.

O’Hara launched an attack on Postecoglou when he got the Forest job, and after yesterday’s game, he’s suggested when he might get the sack.

A Forest supporter rang TalkSPORT after yesterday’s game, and after claiming he wouldn’t see Christmas, O’Hara has agreed with him.

He said live on air: “You know what I don’t know if he will (see Christmas at Forest).

“That’s not a bad shout. If he doesn’t pick up some big wins and shows he’s learned, or he is going to adapt, because you can’t play the way he played in the Premier League, you can’t get away with it.

“Forest are already out of a cup. If you brought him in to win a trophy, you’re already out of one of them, one you potentially could win. It’s not looking good already.”

Postecoglou needs two wins this week

If Forest don’t beat Betis and Sunderland this week, things will turn very bleak very quickly for Postecoglou, given that people are hellbent on judging him on his Tottenham tenure.

Forest haven’t kept a clean sheet since the first day of April earlier this year, and that is a huge cause for concern with a gung-ho manager now in charge.

The concept that O’Hara is already writing Postecoglou off, however, seems a little bit agenda-driven, with the pundit clearly not a fan of Postecoglou.

His methods are so different to the ones displayed under Nuno Espirito Santo, and fans need to give him some time to implement them still.

Hopefully, he can silence O’Hara over the next few days this week…
