Nottingham Forest’s Europa League campaign gets underway tomorrow night as they take on Real Betis.

Ange Postecoglou hasn’t had a great start to his Nottingham Forest career as he is yet to pick up a win in his first three games.

Postecoglou lost to Arsenal and Swansea City before being held to a score draw at newly-promoted Burnley at the weekend.

Forest are up against a La Liga side who currently reside in sixth, so the hosts are heading into the game with more momentum.

Ahead of Wednesday’s clash, we’ve predicted the starting line-up Postecoglou could go for against Betis.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Real Betis

Nottingham Forest invested in excess of £200m in the summer transfer window, so their squad is well-equipped to handle the congested fixture list.

Postecoglou can make several changes and still retain quality across the pitch, so we’ll likely see a fairly different team from the Burnley game.

There could be one change to the back four with Nicola Savona coming in for Neco Williams.

Elliot Anderson and Douglas Luiz retain their partnership in the midfield, whilst James McAtee could get the nod over Morgan Gibbs-White.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was a surprise omission at Turf Moor, so he’s expected to start this one, with Dan Ndoye dropping out.

Up front, there is debate over whether Igor Jesus should start after his brace against Swansea City, but Chris Wood leads the line here.

Ange Postecoglou must have frustration over Omari Hutchinson situation

Nottingham Forest’s record signing Omari Hutchinson wasn’t selected for the Europa League squad by Nuno Espirito Santo.

There was a suggestion that Nuno didn’t want Hutchinson, and it was an Edu signing, but now it’s left a messy situation.

The England under-21 international didn’t start against Burnley, so this would’ve been the perfect game to get much-needed minutes and get up to speed.

Hutchinson will surely start the next Premier League fixture against newly-promoted Sunderland on Saturday.
