Igor Jesus was called up for Brazil on the back of his Nottingham Forest exploits this season.
Carlo Ancelotti is trying to get his feet under the table as the Brazil manager, but today his team suffered a pretty embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Japan.
Jesus didn’t get on the pitch for this one, and after only playing 10 minutes in a 5-0 win over South Korea, he will be rather rested when Forest play Chelsea this weekend.
The 24-year-old has started just two matches for Forest, scoring four goals in cup games against Swansea and Real Betis.
Given that the game against Japan was only friendly, Jesus might be feeling somewhat upset that he wasn’t able to get the nod for more minutes under Ancelotti.

The striker has been in good form and the national media have raved about Jesus and his potential following a Premier League move to Forest.
Chris Wood scored 20 times for Forest last season, and he’s received the nod over Jesus more often than not this season – particularly in the Premier League.
With Forest close to the drop zone with just five points this season, however, Forest need some results fast.
