Nottingham Forest are facing a bit of a conundrum with Arnaud Kalimuendo in the coming weeks.
Since signing for £30 million from Rennes, Kalimuendo has failed to start a Premier League game for the Reds and has been feeding from scraps in the way of minutes.
In fairness, things haven’t been easy for any of the Forest squad, with Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, and now Sean Dyche all managing the Reds this season.
Kalimeundo was an unused substitute for the 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield, and with the January transfer window on the horizon, there is a decision to be made on his future.

Arnaud Kalimuendo could leave Nottingham Forest
According to Jeunesfooteux, Kalimuendo is attracting interest from Paris FC, who are keen to sign him on loan with an option to buy him next summer.
Other clubs are credited with interest, with Roma and Stuttgart both monitoring the situation ahead of the January window and Kalimuendo craving minutes.
In 2024/25, Kalimuendo scored 17 goals in 33 games for Rennes, and his performances alerted Forest to beat a host of other Premier League clubs for his signature.
At 23, however, the player doesn’t want his development to stagnate, and it would appear that he would be open to a move away from the City Ground in the January window.
Sean Dyche has huge call to make regarding Arnaud Kalimuendo
With strikers dropping like flies in the Forest squad, there is now a decision to be made ahead of the Europa League clash against Malmö on Thursday night.
Igor Jesus has been the player tasked with leading the line in the Premier League, but with Brighton to come on Sunday, perhaps some more rotation will be necessary this week.
Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi are both currently nursing injuries, with the latter not even able to play in the Europa League campaign after Espirito Santo chose not to register him.
That could lead to Kalimuendo getting some minutes on home soil as he looks to try and convince Dyche that he should be kept at the club beyond January.
It will be up to the Frenchman to grasp the opportunity with both hands, and if he does get the call, a first goal in the Garibaldi could be just what he needs to kick on.
