Nottingham Forest secured a comprehensive win over Malmö as Sean Dyche continued his flying start as the club’s new head coach.
Ryan Yates, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Nikola Milenkovic all scored as the Reds stayed inside the top 16 of the Europa League group stages.
Brian Laws hailed Kalimuendo for his efforts against the Swedish outfit, who looked somewhat hapless at times, and there were a number of top performers.
Forest face Brighton at the City Ground on Saturday, and after last night’s game against Malmo, it’s become crystal clear that one player is absolutely perfect for Dyche.

Ibrahim Sangare proves his worth vs Malmö
It’s taken time for him to settle at Forest, but it’s now obvious that people are starting to open their eyes with regard to the quality that Sangare possesses.
Sangare has been picked by a host of managers, and whilst many thought it’d be Ryan Yates who would become a mainstay under Dyche, it’s Sangare who is proving undroppable.
The Ivorian cost £30 million back in the summer of 2023 when he swapped PSV for Forest. He’s since been fighting a battle to prove some fierce and somewhat harsh critics wrong.
Sangare played Champions League football in Holland and has been hard done by with injuries and a serious bout of malaria since arriving at Forest.
Has Ibrahim Sangare justified his £30m price tag?
Frankly, he’s never been as bad as some harsh fans have wanted to make out, but now, he’s showcasing exactly what he brings to the table with some dominant performances.
The misconception previously was Sangare’s actual role. He’s never going to be in the team to score and create chances as such, but he breaks things up extremely well and allows someone like Elliot Anderson the freedom to drive forward.
Another gripe with the player from his critics has been the fact that he is prone to giving the ball away, but that is frankly nonsense and shows a basic lack of football knowledge.
If you watch Sangare, it’s abundantly clear that he loses the ball when he’s trying to play through the lines, taking on a risky pass to get the Reds on the attack in an attacking sense.
Dyche has been satisfied with Sangare in training, and as a result, it looks as though he can count himself as one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment.
Ibrahim Sangare stats vs Malmo
Sangare was a surprise selection last night, given that he was brilliant at Liverpool on Saturday and will definitely be needed for Sunday’s game against Brighton.
With that in mind, it wasn’t surprising to see him come off around the hour mark with Sunday’s crucial Premier League game on the mind of Dyche.
THIS is how good Ibrahim Sangare was vs Malmo
The Ivorian is going to be sorely missed when he goes to the African Cup of Nations. Right now, that’s going to be causing Dyche some sleepless nights and the hope will be that a contingency plan can be made for a few weeks.
Sangare is finally proving that his £30 million price tag seems relatively cheap and after being linked with a move away from the club in the past, he’s now arguably the most important player when it comes to Dyche-ball.
