Nottingham Forest enjoyed a busy summer transfer window with a host of new players coming into the football club to bolster the ranks.
With Europa League football on the fixture list this season, Evangelos Marinakis wanted to make sure the squad was well-stocked ahead of that competition.
As well as the players that Forest did bring to the club, there were a number of other stars linked with a move to the City Ground, with the club missing out to bigger clubs.
Adrian Truffert moved to Bournemouth after being linked to Forest and has done well, with the Reds proving a little bit luckier when it came to some other players they were courting in the summer.

Nottingham Forest get lucky escape over Jacob Ramsey
For a while in the summer, it was claimed that Forest were going to make Ramsey their number one target for the entire transfer window.
In the end, Forest landed other targets after being priced out of a £40 million deal for Ramsey, who ended up joining Newcastle to bolster the homegrown quota in their Champions League squad.
However, Forest must now be thanking their lucky stars that Ramsey didn’t join the City Ground ranks, with his time at Newcastle now starting according to plan.
The 24-year-old has played just 12 matches all season, with the majority of those coming from the bench, and Ramsey has failed to register a goal contribution yet.
Forest also have signings of their own yet to make an impact this season, but thankfully, not signing Ramsey hasn’t proved to be a mistake so far.
Forest will attack transfer market again in January
It’s far from ideal that Forest are on manager number three for the current campaign, but that does mean that Sean Dyche will likely fancy landing some of his own players next month.
It’s unlikely that big money will be spent, given the outlay in the summer, and perhaps the biggest priority will be to once again get some players out of the club.
💰WHAT would be YOUR dream January transfer window for Nottingham Forest?🤑
Ramsey could well become a solid addition to the ranks at Newcastle in time, although right now, it doesn’t feel as though Forest will regret this one too much.
It will be fascinating to see what Forest can get done in the transfer window next month and the challenge will be finding the right players to come in and make an immediate impact.
