Nottingham Forest are going to be in the market for some more players during the January transfer window.
Forest spent £180 million in the transfer window back in the summer, and ultimately, not many of the new recruits have done much yet.
Having three managers before November was never going to be easy, and now players like James McAtee and Arnaud Kalimuendo can’t even get a kick under Sean Dyche.
Jack Hinshelwood has been linked with a Forest switch from Brighton and now another Premier League player is being touted with a move to the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest looked at Lewis Dunk
The man with caps for England was being courted by Forest, who made tentative enquiries for him, according to the Daily Mail.
Dunk is 34 and has been at Brighton his whole career, captaining the team to promotion and then helping the club establish itself as a Premier League outfit.
Forest were keen to bring Dunk to the City Ground, although it’s now been claimed that the prospect of him leaving Brighton for a relegation battle was always remote.
Dunk is extremely settled in the south of England and it does feel as though Dunk will almost certainly finish his playing career with a club that sits extremely close to his heart.
Back in 2024, Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler called Dunk ‘amazing’ and there is surely no way he will entertain letting the player depart any time soon.
Forest don’t need another central defender
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Murillo or Nikola Milenkovic at the heart of the Forest back four and priorities lie elsewhere.
With three wins on the spin set to become four at Aston Villa on Saturday, Evangelos Marinakis has a big decision to make over whether or not he lets Dyche do too much business in January.
💰WHAT would be YOUR dream January transfer window for Nottingham Forest?🤑
Dunk would have been a panic signing at the very best and most fans would rather someone like Jair Cunha get a run in the team if a change is to be made at centre-back.
It will be fascinating to see what Forest try to do in the transfer market and with a big game against West Ham coming after the trip to Aston Villa on Saturday, the Reds could soon be in a perilous situation.
