Sean Dyche throws Nottingham Forest star under the bus with scathing comment

Sean Dyche is in serious trouble as the head coach of Nottingham Forest.

At a time when Forest desperately needs a coach, it would appear they have another Martin O’Neill, in the sense that he simply can’t appreciate the talent he has to work with.

Dyche has a monumental game on Tuesday night with Forest set to take on West Ham United, knowing that a victory would put seven points between the team and the relegation zone.

A drab 3-1 defeat – a fourth in succession for Forest – has done little to suggest the team can get something, however, with Dyche now even laying into his players in his press conference after the game.

Sean Dyche takes a swipe at Elliot Anderson

Anderson is a talent that can only be described as superb and ultimately, he looks on course to start for England at the World Cup this summer.

He was responsible for giving the ball away yesterday as Forest once again managed to concede just seconds before half-time, with Ollie Watkins opening the scoring.

After the game, Dyche didn’t hold back and suggested that Anderson simply had to do better in the moment just prior to the half-time interval.

He said in his press conference: “The game plan was near perfect for some parts of the game, but then we made a schoolboy error just before half time, and it’s simply not good enough. We have to do better.

Anderson maybe needs to be dropped

There is an argument that maybe Anderson is missing the defensive resolution of Ibrahim Sangare but there is now a discussion over what will happen with the midfielder.

It’s said that form is temporary and class is permanent and perhaps these comments from Dyche are a little bit over the top, given that the player will have been gutted by his moment of madness.

However, Anderson has been way off it for a few weeks now and perhaps there is an argument that suggests that a couple of games out of the team could do him good.

It would certainly be a risky call to do such a thing but with Anderson’s form not the best right now there is certainly a discussion to be had.
