Nottingham Forest were once again defeated, this time by Aston Villa, as Sean Dyche endured a fourth successive defeat.
The Forest head coach watched on as a John McGinn brace and a stunner from Ollie Watkins saw the hosts continue their dominant form on home soil.
Dyche bemoaned Elliot Anderson after the game, with the Forest midfielder guilty of giving the ball away in the lead-up to the first Villa goal, which was scored in stoppage time at the end of an otherwise solid first half.
Anderson was far from the worst Forest performer, though, and in another player from the starting line-up, the Reds had someone who dropped the worst scoring performance registered this season by someone in the Garibaldi.

Forest player’s disasterclass highlighted against Aston Villa
It proved another drab performance under Dyche from Forest and when things are bad under the head coach, they are frankly, pretty terrible.
This was epitomised at the weekend with the performance of John Victor, with the Brazilian goalkeeper being rated just 4.33 after his embarrassing error that led to Villa’s third goal.
Who was the WORST Nottingham Forest player against Aston Villa
Let us know your thoughts…
The player came steaming out of his penalty area to clear a ball, despite the fact that three Forest defenders were ready and waiting to clear their lines.
Victor’s error allowed McGinn a tap-in and ended some solid resistance that Forest had showcased after the half-time interval.
Victor’s rating was the lowest recorded by any Forest player this season, which, considering there have been some poor performances across the board, is pretty remarkable.
Victor’s passing success ratio of 54.6% was also the worst of any Forest player, with just four of his 14 successful long balls coming from his kicking.
🤦♂️Was THIS the worst goalkeeping display you’ve ever seen by a Nottingham Forest player?
Let us know your opinion on Victor in Saturday's game below…
Matz Sels has to start against West Ham
Victor limped out of the action at Villa Park after his shocking error and Dyche will have to wait for a verdict on how fit he’s going to be.
Sels was injured last month but when he was fit enough to return to the bench, he should have been installed back into the team, given how much credit he has from last season.
The Belgian is a solid goalkeeper and over the last 18 months, he’s proved a very capable custodian who led Forest to some very good results.
The writing could now be on the wall for Victor at Forest and if Sels does get his place back in the team, the Brazilian might be left wondering when his next appearance will be forthcoming for the Reds.
