Nottingham Forest are going in search of some new players this month, with the club fighting against relegation.
Arnaud Kalimuendo has already departed the City Ground, and it feels as though business will be done on both fronts during January.
Jorgen Strand Larsen has been linked with Forest as a striker target, but at north of £40 million, it could be a tricky deal to do in the January transfer window.
It would appear as though other irons are firmly in the fire before the window closes and another player now looks to be on the radar of Sean Dyche.

Nottingham Forest want Marcus Tavernier
According to The Athletic, Forest are keen to sign Tavernier before the end of the month but it will be a difficult deal to conclude with Bournemouth expressing a desire to keep hold of him.
Tavernier captained the team back in October when he scored for the Cherries during a 2-0 win over Forest in Dyche’s first Premier League game in charge of the team.
The versatile performer has been playing as a number 10 in the majority of games this season, but he can also play in midfield or wide on the flanks.
Tavernier has scored five goals and claimed three assists for Bournemouth this season, and it’s believed that they would like to keep him around beyond the end of the month.
The Cherries sanctioned a £62.5 million sale of Antoine Semenyo during this month, and it’s believed they don’t want to lose any other star players.

Marcus Tavernier is very similar to Morgan Gibbs-White
This would be an intriguing signing, not least because Tavernier is performing at a similar level to Gibbs-White but is capable of being a fraction more versatile.
The stats for key passes, dribbles and accurate short passes, showcase Gibbs-White and Tavernier within five of each other on each metric and that highlights methodical thinking with this deal.
There may come a time when Gibbs-White does leave Forest and as a result, the club might have one eye on Tavernier as someone who can come in and replace him if it comes to that.
It does feel as though this deal will be hard to do during the January window but this could be one to keep tabs on ahead of the summer should Forest remain a Premier League club.
