Nottingham Forest are going to be trying to land some new players during the month of January.
The Reds are embroiled in a fight against relegation this season and currently have a seven-point gap to 18th place after a 2-1 win against West Ham last week.
A new striker is the order of the day with Forest eyeing a move for Jorgen Strand Larsen, whilst other players have also been linked with a move to the City Ground.
Now, it appears that the other end of the pitch is in the club’s sights for strengthening too, with a new goalkeeper in Forest’s thoughts ahead of the window slamming shut.

Nottingham Forest want Chelsea player Filip Jorgensen
It’s been claimed by Mustafa Karatas that Forest are in the mix with Bournemouth and West Ham to try and sign Jorgensen before the transfer window closes.
The Reds have Matz Sels as the number one goalkeeper, with John Victor currently injured and Angus Gunn having not played a game for the club yet.
Jorgensen has been a victim of Chelsea’s stockpiling policy when it comes to goalkeepers and has been restricted to just seven outings in 2025/26.
The 23-year-old hasn’t kept a clean sheet yet this season, but he does look like a goalkeeper with bags of potential and one who does have some experience in the Premier League.
Who Scored showcases that he makes fewer saves per game than Sels, but that is to be expected given that he plays for a team who are far higher in the Premier League table.
Forest to rival Nuno Espirito Santo for new goalkeeper
Forest won’t see a new goalkeeper as a priority this month, but it probably does highlight that they’d like to do some business during the window.
Liam Rosenior called Jorgensen ‘world-class’ when quizzed on his goalkeepers after taking the Chelsea job recently and prising him away from Stamford Bridge might be tough.

Forest can hand another significant blow to West Ham’s relegation situation if they can pip Espirito Santo to the signing of Jorgensen.
The Hammers’ need for a goalkeeper is far greater than Forest’s and it remains to be seen if anyone can get Jorgensen over the line this month.
