Nottingham Forest beat Brentford 2-0 to make it three games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Forest have claimed seven points from games against West Ham, Arsenal and now Brentford.

With West Ham beating Sunderland 3-1 yesterday, the gap to Forest was cut to two points, and this result does feel big with that in mind.

Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi scored the Forest goals that made the gap between them and West Ham five points once again.

It was the performance of Ibrahim Sangare, however, that caught the eye, with the Ivorian doing something at the end of the game that shows just how far he’s come.

What Ibrahim Sangare did in 25th minute of Forest win

It’s taken some time for Sangare to really prove himself at Forest, but something he did in the 25th minute suggests he’s starting to feel the love.

After winning an improbable corner, Sangare turned to the supporters – some of whom had previously questioned him for the sake of it – and signalled to them to raise the noise.

The fans roared back at him, and it proved a poignant moment with the supporters showing the love for Sangare, finally!

The fact that Sangare felt confident enough to ask the supporters to raise the noise was intriguing, and it perhaps suggests a player who is now brimming with confidence on Trentside.

Sangare one of the best Forest players this season

The redemption arc of Sangare has been one of real joy to watch, and right now, he’s one of the in-form players in the whole squad.

Who was your Man of the Match vs Brentford

Forest look much better with the Ivorian pulling the strings in midfield, and his ability to turn defence into attack quickly makes him unlike any other player in the Reds’ dressing room.

Sangare plays the game with a smile on his face, and hopefully, he can stay fit between now and the end of the season as Forest bids to survive relegation.

It was great to see Sangare have his moment with the Forest fans, and right now, the fan base is unanimous that the international is extremely important to the team’s cause.
