Nottingham Forest are hoping to bolster their strike force before the transfer window closes on Monday.
The Reds have already added Lorenzo Lucca to their ranks, but it would seem as though another striker is on the shortlist before the window grinds to a halt.
It would be ideal for the Reds to get a bit more firepower through the door with Forest desperately looking to avoid dropping back into the EFL.
Now, with the window hotting up, one player looks to be off the list for Forest as he nears a move to another Premier League club.
However, all is not lost for Sean Dyche…

Crystal Palace agree fee for Jorgen Strand Larsen
It looks as though Palace are finally getting their man, having agreed to pay a staggering £50 million to land Strand Larsen in the coming days, according to NRK.
Strand Larsen has struggled to get into the Wolves team this season, despite the fact that they languish at the bottom of the Premier League table with just eight points.
The Norwegian performer is set for a big-money move, however, with Palace landing the player who they feel is most likely to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta in a stylistic sense.
Forest had looked at Strand Larsen as a Chris Wood replacement but chose not to part with the numbers that Wolves were touting around, feeling there was better value elsewhere.
Forest could now rival Tottenham for Jean-Philippe Mateta
Forest are keen to sign Mateta before the window closes but Tottenham have emerged as potential suitors and they can offer Champions League football.
The Reds need to make sure the squad is well stocked and the hope will be that Forest can get some more business done before things slam shut.
SHOULD we be signing Jorgen Strand Larsen instead of Jean-Philippe Mateta?
Both players have been linked with the Reds!
Strand Larsen for £50 million does feel like an awful lot of money and to a certain extent, it’s nice that Forest haven’t been pressured into paying that by Wolves.
Mateta feels like a much better fit for a Dyche team and hopefully, Forest can go full steam ahead and get a deal for the 28-year-old over the line.
