Forest have signed Lorenzo Lucca on loan from Napoli, and he was denied a debut against Crystal Palace after Neco Williams’ sending off led to Sean Dyche shutting up shop.

Now, a new name has emerged on the scene for Forest, and there could soon be a golden chance for the Reds to swoop in and sign the striker.

Nottingham Forest want Jhon Duran

According to Team Talk, Forest have been contacted by Duran’s representatives as they look to push him back towards the Premier League.

The former Aston Villa player made a big-money move to Al-Nassr, but after a short time there, he made the switch to Fenerbahce, where he’s spent the first half of the season.

Now, the Turkish outfit are set to terminate his contract, and that will see him return to Al-Nassr, where his future looks pretty bleak.

Forest will face competition for Duran, with Tottenham and Leeds also notified about the player’s availability, with the Colombian expressing a desire to return to the Premier League.

Duran would be quality signing for Forest

Duran was called ‘outstanding’ by Clinton Morrison back in 2023, and he looked like a really good prospect when he was getting opportunities at Villa Park.

Duran bagged 20 goals from 78 appearances during his Villa career, including a goal during a 2-1 defeat against Forest in December 2024.

If Forest can get this deal over the line, it could prove to be a mega deal by the Reds, with the 22-year-old still boasting a lot of potential and Premier League experience under his belt.

The Reds don’t really need any further firepower, but if a new striker could be added, it would be ideal to give Forest every possible chance of avoiding relegation.
