Nottingham Forest thrashed Sunderland 5-0 at the Stadium of Light to maintain a five-point cushion over Tottenham in the fight for survival.
The Reds defeated the Black Cats at a canter, scoring four first-half goals and Elliot Anderson putting the seal on the victory in second-half stoppage time.

Vitor Pereira was delighted with his team after the emphatic win, and he couldn’t have asked for more from his star men during the contest.

After Troy Deeney singled out Igor Jesus for praise in his selections for BBC Sport, Shearer has named four other players alongside the Brazilian.
Nikola Milenkovic has been named for his performance, which saw him make 15 clearances in a big and very welcome return to form.
Anderson made the selection too, getting in for his goal and his all-round solid performance in central midfield.
Next, Morgan Gibbs-White was named for another stellar performance and for bagging the third goal of the night when he swept home from a Jesus cushioned header.
Finally, Omari Hutchinson made the list after his brilliant performance out on the flank, with his teasing delivery forcing Trai Hume into an own goal.

Shearer also named Pereira as the head coach in his Team of the Week, and this proved a brilliant week for Forest in terms of his selections.
Now, Forest must take this goalscoring form into their next endeavours, with Aston Villa to come on Thursday night and then Chelsea to play in the Premier League.
A number of star players have stepped up since Pereira came to the club and his tireless work on the training ground with this group of players is finally starting to bear some fruit.
