Nottingham Forest should copy PSG’s Michael Olise plan to stop Morgan Rogers vs Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest will look to copy PSG tonight and do to Morgan Rogers what they did to Michael Olise.

Despite last week’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa at the City Ground, Forest have it all to do to reach the Europa League final in Istanbul.

Give us TWO ways Vitor Pereira can finally lead Nottingham Forest to a rare win at Villa Park in the second leg…

Villa have been formidable in this competition on home soil, and a hostile Villa Park awaits Forest this evening, despite the Reds arriving on a 10-match unbeaten streak.

Last night, PSG set up a Champions League final with Arsenal, and after the game, Luis Enrique shared a tactical plan to stop Michael Olise that could perhaps help Forest this evening.

Forest can have joy by emulating PSG tactic

Last night, Enrique’s team defended superbly well, and that was largely down to stifling Olise.

The head coach said afterwards that he planned to stifle Olise by asking goalkeeper Metvey Safonov to overhit his clearances out for a throw-in on the right side, purposely ensuring Olise was always in an overloaded area of the pitch.

With Stefan Ortega in goal for Forest tonight, his distribution is on the strong side, and this could certainly be an option for Vitor Pereira.

Stopping Rogers won’t be a guaranteed victory for Forest, with the Villa team also boasting quality in other areas of the pitch, most notably upfront, where Ollie Watkins will feature.

If Morgan Gibbs-White doesn’t make it tonight which of these four Nottingham Forest players should get the nod?

Forest will have devised a game plan under Pereira, and after claiming a win and a draw over Villa in recent weeks, the onus is on the Reds to get through to the final tonight.

Soon, the talking will stop, and it will be interesting to see exactly what Pereira has come up with to stifle the threat of Watkins.
