Morgan Gibbs-White is a serious contender for Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Year accolade.
The England hopeful for this summer’s World Cup has kicked on under Vitor Pereira, and his form has been a joy to behold of late.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST ARE SAFE!!!! What advice would you now give to Evangelos Marinakis ahead of next season?
Gibbs-White has scored 16 goals and claimed seven assists in all competitions during the 2025/26 campaign, with Forest safe from relegation with two games to go.
However, one thing he did off the pitch might be the best thing he’s done all season, and it’s resulted in a mini-transformation of sorts at the City Ground.

Morgan Gibbs-White right to revolt against Sean Dyche
According to The Athletic, Gibbs-White was the man who led the conversation with Evangelos Marinakis after a drab 0-0 draw in February.
The result ended with Dyche getting sacked and Forest eventually appointing Pereira to come and keep the club in the Premier League.
Player power probably has more of a role in modern-day football than is morally right, but as the captain of the football club, Gibbs-White was right to do what he did and express concern.
Dyche alienated the fringe players who weren’t getting minutes by publicly slating them in the media after defeat to Wrexham in the FA Cup, and their confidence looked shot under him.
Gibbs-White clearly values his role as the leader of the dressing room, and it’s no surprise that he was on the side of his teammates over Dyche.
Marinakis clearly recognises Gibbs-White as the club’s most important figure, and thankfully, the number 10 has been proven right to vent his frustration over Dyche to the club’s hierarchy.
Now, another big decision could be in the offing over Pereira and hopefully, Gibbs-White will be sticking around too beyond this summer.
