When Wilson was appointed at Forest, one of his first acts was to put Mulholland in charge of overseeing all Academy affairs.
Replacing Gary Brazil was always going to be tricky, but to a certain degree, Mulholland has worked wonders, with the B-Team last season winning the Premier League International Cup.
Now, The Athletic believes that Mulholland has been poached to do a similar role with the Scotland FA, and he will walk away from Forest this summer.
It will leave a big decision for Evangelos Marinakis to make, as he never understates the importance of having an academy to be proud of.
