Forest still fancy Marco Silva appointment
According to Team Talk, Forest are still weighing up which avenue to go down when it comes to their head coach for next season.
A host of top managers look set to be available, with Andoni Iraola leaving Bournemouth, Oliver Glasner departing Crystal Palace and Silva out of contract at Fulham.
Silva has worked wonders with Fulham, leading them to promotion alongside Forest in 2021/22 and establishing the Cottagers as a Premier League outfit.
There have been some reservations over whether Silva’s unwillingness to sign a new deal has been due to a lack of transfer activity at Fulham in recent windows.
That’s not something he’d have an issue with when it comes to working at Forest and it would appear Silva remains fancied by Marinakis.
It’s believed that Forest could try to gazump Chelsea for Silva’s signature, with the Blues also in the market and eyeing a possible swoop for the Fulham boss too.
👀YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE: Vitor Pereira or Marco Silva?
'Who are you picking, and why?
Silva previously called ‘excellent’
Silva has lots of experience in England having worked with Watford, Hull and Everton before joining Fulham to continue his good work.
Former Hull striker Evandro called Silva ‘excellent’ after he tried desperately to keep the Tigers in the Premier League before departing the club when it proved an impossible task.
Silva is a respected figure in the management world and now Marinakis must decide whether or not to get the head coach tied down at Forest or stick with Pereira who has proved popular with supporters.
