Nottingham Forest have been on the end of a stinking decision during a 3-2 defeat away at Manchester United.

Morato and Morgan Gibbs-White goals proved in vain as the Red Devils called on their lucky twelfth man, the referee!

😤How on earth has Manchester United’s second goal stood against Nottingham Forest?!

A complete and utter disgrace!

Michael Salisbury was sent to the screen by Matthew Donohue after Bryan Mbeumo had handled in the build-up to Matheus Cunha scoring for United.

Gary Neville said Forest had every right to be scathing with the result of the VAR check and ultimately, it cost the Reds a chance to get anything from the match.

Premier League Match Centre send message to Forest

Forest fans will be raging at this decision and the only saving grace is that in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t cost the team anything other than a point.

After the incident the Premier League Match Centre shared what had happened and the outcome is just laughable and makes a whole mockery of the sport.

The post on X read as follows: After VAR review, the referee stuck with the original decision to award a goal to Manchester United.

“Referee announcement: After review, the decision of goal stands because the handball offence is accidental, therefore the final decision is goal.”

Forest will have to lick their wounds and try desperately to finish the season with a flourish by beating Bournemouth at the City Ground next weekend.

😡Nottingham Forest have been robbed by VAR at Old Trafford. AGAIN!

Why are we not getting any luck with VAR again!

The Reds need to make sure they dust themselves off quickly after this injustice and hopefully, the players can bounce back on home soil.

Vitor Pereira was level headed afterwards and he remained defiant following this abysmal call from the referee.
