Roy Keane slams two Nottingham Forest players after Manchester United defeat

Roy Keane felt two Nottingham Forest players badly let Nottingham Forest down in the first half vs Manchester United.

The Reds trailed 1-0 at the interval after Luke Shaw lashed an unstoppable effort home in the fifth minute of this clash.

😡Nottingham Forest have been robbed by VAR at Old Trafford. AGAIN!

Why are we not getting any luck with VAR again!

United are a different animal under Michael Carrick and Forest struggled for periods to break down the Red Devils.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolas Dominguez had good chances in the first half, but Keane picked out two players for criticism for their showing in the opening 45 minutes.

Roy Keane slams Nikola Milenkovic and Morato

Both central defenders were extremely slow to react for Forest in the opening exchanges, with Shaw scoring the easiest goal he’s ever likely to score.

Milenkovic was probably the biggest culprit as he seemed extremely slow to close the ball, and by the time he did, he couldn’t prevent it from going goal-bound.

Keane had no time for either central defender and didn’t feel they covered themselves in glory.

He said live on Sky Sports: “For the ball to be in the air that long and for both central defenders not to close it down, that’s not on, it’s poor. Really poor, they’ve got bodies back, but they’re not making the right decisions.”

This was a game where some Forest players simply went through the motions, and that simply won’t do for Vitor Pereira.

He wants to finish as high as possible in the Premier League, and this level of performance, particularly in the first half, is unacceptable.

😤How on earth has Manchester United’s second goal stood against Nottingham Forest?!

A complete and utter disgrace!

Forest grabbed an equaliser through Morato, but fell behind straight after when Matheus Cunha slid home after Bryan Mbeumo quite clearly handled in the build-up.

Mbeumo then scored to make it 3-1, before Gibbs-White scored to get the visitors back into the game.

The Reds have looked vastly improved under Pereira, and they can count themselves desperately unlucky not to have come away without something for their efforts.
