Morgan Gibbs-White will be among the frontrunners for this year’s Nottingham Forest Player of the Year.

The Reds have been pretty average across the campaign, with Vitor Pereira getting Forest over the line and remaining a Premier League club against the odds.

FINAL: Morgan Gibbs-White vs Neco Williams?

Much of the upward curve has been down to the form of Gibbs-White, with the number 10 proving just how capable he is with several performances that epitomise his role as captain.

Now, with just one game of the campaign remaining, Gibbs-White has named his Forest Player of the Year.

Morgan Gibbs-White names Neco Williams as Player of the Year

Given that Forest have been largely poor for half of the 2025/26 campaign, it’s hard to actually pick a Player of the Year.

It would appear that most of the players have the same names in mind, with Gibbs-White settling for Williams as his pick.

He told the club’s official media: “Neco Williams, so consistent from the beginning to the end, every single week.”

Williams has been very consistent this season, making over 50 appearances in all competitions for the Reds across the campaign.

It would be a toss of the coin, really, when it comes to whether Williams or Gibbs-White gets the accolade and if the latter wins it, it will be the second time he’s taken the mantle.

Forest haven’t had a lot to shout about this season, but survival has been secured, and in reaching the semi-final of the Europa League, there have at least been some positives for the fans to shout about.

Once the season comes to a close, the challenge for Forest will be to keep hold of the star players and ensure they remain on Trentside ready to come back and try to help the club kick on next season.
