Friday is D-Day for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White when it comes to his World Cup aspirations, with Thomas Tuchel set to name his squad.
Gibbs-White has done all he possibly can to make the final squad, with 17 goals and seven assists coming from the Forest number 10 this season.
What is your prediction for Saturday’s final game of the season vs Bournemouth?🤔
We've not beaten Bournemouth since 2015!😮
With Phil Foden and Cole Palmer struggling for form all season, Forest star Gibbs-White will naturally feel as though his City Ground heroics will earn him a place in the England squad.
On the eve of the big reveal, Gibbs-White has found an admirer in England legend Glenn Hoddle.

Glenn Hoddle backs Morgan Gibbs-White for World Cup call
It will be interesting to see who does make the squad when it’s announced on Friday.
One thing is for sure, and that’s if Gibbs-White doesn’t make the cut, Thomas Tuchel is clearly picking the squad on reputation and not on current form.
Speaking on a Hayters TV podcast regarding the squad, Hoddle mentioned Gibbs-White when chewing the fat over the attacking options available to Tuchel.
He said: “There’s Rogers, then there’s Gibbs-White, who’s probably playing as good in form as anyone, he’s regularly scoring goals for Forest. You’ve got Bellingham, you’ve got Eze, you’ve got you got a crop of these players, creative players right across the board there.”
Gibbs-White will be desperate to get the nod for this World Cup at 26-years-old.
He will likely be beyond his prime by the time the next one comes around, and ultimately, he will be getting itchy feet to get a proper chance with England.
Gibbs-White is a form player, and right now, he’d be a better bet for the final 30 minutes of games than Palmer or Foden, who play in the same position.
Everyone associated with Forest will have everything crossed for Gibbs-White and the hope is that he will join Elliot Anderson on the plane to the United States this summer.
