Nottingham Forest have seen the 2025/26 campaign draw to a close, and it will be one remembered vaguely.
Forest had four managers across the campaign before settling on Vitor Pereira to steer the Reds to safety with relative ease in the end.
Murillo has signed a NEW contract but who do Nottingham Forest need to tie down next?
Forest have some work to do in the transfer market this summer and quality will be prioritised over quantity, following the 13 signings made last summer.
With the game against Bournemouth only just over, Forest are already making plans to make a raid on a Championship club for one of their star players.

Nottingham Forest want quick Hayden Hackney signing
According to Team Talk, Forest are now going to make an opening offer for Hackney after Middlesbrough were beaten in the Championship Play-Off Final by Hull.
Hackney has been Boro’s star man this season, captaining the team to the play-offs where they were narrowly beaten by the Tigers.
The central midfielder has made 41 appearances for Boro this season, scoring six goals and registering eight assists, with the player a firm fan favourite.
Forest will face stern competition for his signature, however, with Tottenham, Brentford, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Bournemouth all having the EFL star among their targets for the summer.
It’s not clear at this stage how much Hackney will cost Forest, but a new central midfielder will be the order of the day with Elliot Anderson likely to leave this summer.
Ex-Boro boss Rob Edwards called Hackney ‘excellent‘ and backed him to play in the Premier League one day when he was at the club previously.

Hackney could be available for £20m
Furthermore, the Reds have tried to sign Hackney before, when Steve Cooper was at the club and more recently under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Forest might look to sign two central midfielders this summer, and Hackney could be signed for less than around £30 million, which would make him a pretty useful signing.
The Reds are fancying up to six new signings this summer and if Forest can get Hackney over the line as a matter of urgency, it would be ideal to give him a full pre-season with the club.
