Chris Wood, Dan Ndoye, Ibrahim Sangare and Angus Gunn have so far been called up for World Cup duty, with Matz Sels missing out on the Belgium squad.

Now, Elliot Anderson can look forward to heading to the tournament, with England boss Thomas Tuchel calling him up and Pearce now praising the midfielder.

Stuart Pearce loves watching Elliot Anderson play

Pearce knows what it’s like to play for England at major tournaments, and now Anderson will get to enjoy the same fate.

Morgan Gibbs-White has missed out on a place in the England squad, but Anderson will make the trip, and he will hope to start for Thomas Tuchel’s team.

Pearce has admitted a sense of pride at watching Anderson make the squad, and he’s been speaking exclusively to Forest ahead of the final game of the season.

He said: “For what he’s done this season for club and country, he’s been outstanding and it’s given me great pride as an ex-Forest player for certain.

“I think I speak for all Forest fans and everyone at the club when we wish him well, and he deserves a fantastic World Cup. I think he’ll do extremely well.”

If we have to sell Elliot Anderson this summer, how much should we demand for his signature?🤑

Anderson had been starting in midfield alongside Declan Rice in the World Cup qualifying campaign and he will hope to get the nod to start at the tournament too.

The 23-year-old has been superb once again at Forest this season and it seems extremely likely that he will rake in around £120 million this summer should he depart the club.
