The future of Elliot Anderson is up in the air with several clubs monitoring the Nottingham Forest midfielder.
Anderson has been a revelation for two years at the City Ground, and now, the Forest performer has Manchester City and Manchester United fighting for his services.
Nottingham Forest have already delivered their stance on Elliot Anderson!
How much would you consider selling him for this summer?
United need a new midfielder with Casemiro set to leave the club this summer, and Anderson would be viewed as the ideal replacement.
However, City hold the aces, and now Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows about United’s interest in the Forest performer.
Romano says United keep pushing for Anderson
Anderson’s future will be under scrutiny throughout the summer, with two huge football clubs looking at signing him.
Now, Romano believes that despite City doing their best to get the deal finalised, United are constantly calling Forest, trying to get in there first.
He said on his YouTube channel: “Don’t forget that Manchester City also keep pushing to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
“They are aware of Manchester United still calling and calling, but Manchester City are still pushing.
“Now, with Maresca, City are still going for him.
“Let’s see what happens with Nottingham Forest, with Manchester United still trying to do something and calling.”
If any club wants to sign Anderson this summer, they’re going to have to dig deep and pay Forest what they value him at.
The number eight has three years left to run on his contract at the City Ground, and there is no need to sell for PSR purposes this summer.
It does feel as though Anderson will move on, but right now, the ball is in the court of City and United, with the onus on them to stump up and pay the cash.
