The saga involving Elliot Anderson leaving Nottingham Forest looks set to rumble on.
Anderson has been superb for the last two seasons at Forest and has a wave of admirers as the summer transfer window opens up.
🤝Who should be the FIRST player sold by Nottingham Forest this summer?
The Reds are reluctant to let any of their stars leave this summer but are resigned to the fact that Anderson might depart, with Manchester City and Manchester United linked.
On a daily basis, it appears as though more information comes to light on the Anderson situation, and the latest piece of gossip makes for good reading from a Forest perspective.

Manchester City miles from Anderson valuation
According to BBC Sport, Forest are open to letting Anderson depart if the price is right this summer, with City holding positive talks with the player’s representatives.
However, Anderson is unlikely to kick up a fuss to leave, and with three years to run on his existing contract, there is no rush to force through a sale.
Now, in the same BBC report, it’s believed that City are in talks with Forest, but the Reds are adamant that the £115 million valuation placed on his head by the Reds must be met.
It’s quite positive that Forest aren’t going to be bullied over the sale of their star man, and ultimately, that is a piece of information that will delight the fan base.
Anderson is thought to prefer a move to City over United out of the two scenarios, but given this latest news, it appears the rumours could rumble on until after the World Cup.
If we have to sell Elliot Anderson this summer, how much should we demand for his signature?🤑
Anderson signed for Forest for £35 million in the summer of 2024, with Newcastle signing Odysseas Vlachodimos for £20 million to offset the transfer fee.
The number eight has seen his stock rise considerably at the City Ground over the past two years and he’s now among the best midfielders in the Premier League.
