Opta say Nottingham Forest star added ‘stability’ during 25/26 campaign, it’s not Morgan Gibbs-White

Morgan Gibbs-White had a memorable season for Nottingham Forest during 2025/26, but there was one star man who was even better.

Gibbs-White scored 18 goals and claimed seven assists across the season, and without him, it’s fair to say that Forest would have been bang in trouble.

If we have to sell Elliot Anderson this summer, how much should we demand for his signature?🤑

Forest became the first club in Premier League history to have four full-time managers, and it’s quite remarkable that the team managed to stay up.

It would appear, however, that perhaps Gibbs-White wasn’t the only driving force behind Forest remaining in the Premier League.

Opta make amazing Elliot Anderson claim

Unlike Gibbs-White, Anderson will be heading to the World Cup this summer, with the midfielder set to star in England’s midfield in the United States.

Anderson has enjoyed a superb season for Forest and naturally, he’s attracting interest from Manchester City and Manchester United during the summer window.

Opta named Anderson in their Premier League Team of the Season for his efforts, with their focus on stats-led analysis.

They said on Anderson’s performances: “Nottingham Forest’s season may have had an element of chaos to it, being the first ever team to have four permanent managers in a single Premier League season, but the ever-present Anderson provided a degree of stability.

👀When both of their careers have finished who will have the bigger collection of trophies – Elliot Anderson or Declan Rice?

He might not have won the PL title but is it fair to say Anderson has been better than Rice this season?🤔

“Among all the players, he had the most touches (3,300), won the most duels (297), won the most fouls (80) and won the most possession overall (306).

“Furthermore, he made the most line-breaking passes (376), completed the most overall passes (2,038) and made the most dribbles (95).”

Anderson will head to the World Cup full of confidence, and it’s fair to say that Forest will miss him once he departs the club this summer.

Nottingham Forest have already delivered their stance on Elliot Anderson!

How much would you consider selling him for this summer?

The challenge for the Reds is to replace him sufficiently, and it’s a good thing that Forest will rake in a substantial transfer fee, as he won’t be easy to replace.

Anderson will leave with Forest’s best wishes and knowing Evangelos Marinakis, there is absolutely no way that he will be leaving on the cheap this summer.
