Mohamed Amoura relegated with Wolfsburg

In April 2025, Forest were heavily linked with Amoura, with Arsenal and Liverpool also keen on the striker.

In the end, he opted to stay put with Wolfsburg, and now, the Bundesliga outfit have suffered an embarrassing relegation to the second tier.

Wolfsburg lost the relegation play-off to Paderborn and will now embark on a campaign in the doldrums, with a number of players set to leave.

Amoura, previously eyed by Forest, will surely be on his way out of the club, with the 26-year-old scoring eight goals and claiming four assists across the campaign.

Forest will certainly be eyeing another striker during the transfer window, with Chris Wood not getting any younger and Taiwo Awoniyi potentially seeking regular game time.

During a more fruitful 2024/25 campaign, Amoura bagged 10 goals and claimed 12 assists, showcasing that he can also operate as a left-winger.

Forest will have to be shrewd with their recruitment this summer, with nine Premier League clubs in Europe next season and the Reds not among them.
